The Analysis of Water Quality Using Canadian Water Quality Index: Green Belt Project/Kerbala-Iraq

چکیده

During the last five decades, a huge amount of water pollutants has been recorded in all resources around world. Therefore, quality become an important indicator affecting vitality and productivity plants, which requires effective technique to monitor these pollutants. The main objective this study is assess validity groundwater for wells located within boundaries Green Belt area Karbala city/Iraq irrigation palm olive trees. Whereas, use saline as alternative available fresh will promote sustainable development resources. Water Quality Index (WQI) reliable widely used tool assessing various sources, including groundwater. In study, Canadian index (CWQI) model was applied provide database planning monitoring area. Groundwater samples were taken from tested find seven parameters were; pH, CL, Mg, HCO3, EC, Na Ca. CWQI values studied ranged 30 35. According scale, classified poor water. must be treated before it purpose This concluded that ensure good management area, future changes monitored.
